We waited for a letter to come in the mail from PNC to confirm a new bank account that my husband and I opened jointly. We waited several weeks and the letter never arrived so we called again and they sent another letter. When the letter finally arrived I saw that the envelope was not sealed. The letter inside contained our personal information (names, address, social security number, bank account number, email, and phone number) that could be used to steal our identities. So the first letter with all our personal information is still lost and could have been stolen and the second letter arrived already opened. We called PNC to inform them and ask what they could do. They created an incident report to document the problem but did not offer any real solution. Now we our left thinking our identities could be stolen and it was no fault of ours but our bank who sent very important information in the mail without sealing the envelope.

I used a PNC Bank ATM with my Capital One credit card. I proceeded to click deposit money on the ATM, and selected the cash option. I proceeded to placed 440$ into the ATM, which it accepted, even showing the bill type and quantity. I then pressed finish deposit and the ATM gave an error, and returned my debit card. The ATM never returned my cash. I have contacted both PNC and Capital One. PNC bank informs me there is nothing I, as an individual can do, Capital One needs to file a dispute. Capital tells me there is nothing they can do, as it is not their ATM. They state they can not file a dispute. Both banks refuse to simply audit the machine and return my money that I need for bills. I spoke to both banks at manager level. Please help. I can not understand as to why, as an Individual, I cannot file a dispute about the ATM.

I have tried to contact PNC several times about this matter and every time I reach someone, there is poor customer service attached. I really truly believe that with the Government shutdown and the financial climate- PNC should really think about how they respond to longstanding customers and how they interact with them. I had a charge on my card and I had enough money. I received not one but 5 messages regarding that my account was wither in good standing or not.... but each time they charged me a fee... grossing over $300. If the payment was accepted for whatever reason WHY keep charging me $ 36 plus $7 daily and then an accrued amount of $21 on top of each fee. I received four $ 36.00 fees and 2 $7 and one $21 dollar fee in one day. When I reached out- it was claimed that this was not their fault. I have the proof that it was. Why wasn't I notified of the discrepancy... All the information sent was that either was in good standing in my account or way of the limit. Why should I have to pay an exorbitant about of fees. This is unjust. I have monthly direct deposit but now with all of these feels grossing well over $1,000, my rent check was sent back, I cannot keep money in my account because every two weeks, the amount gets higher and higher. Why can't you all refund the fees. They are not owed. I do not want to hear from a money manager who's going to tell me to write down my balances on a piece of paper. I know what my finances are and this is clearly a big issue on PNC's part. How dare you in this financial climate, when peoples homes and livelihood are jeopardize, think you should "cash in" Return all of those fees!!!
