Das Seeheilbad Heringsdorf ist neben den benachbarten Badeorten Ahlbeck und Bansin eine der drei schönen Schwestern, die man auch unter der Bezeichnung Kaiserbäder kennt. Nach 1990 wurden viele Gebäude der Bäderarchitektur reprivatisiert und im Rahmen der Städtebauförderung aufwendig saniert. Der Ort putzte sich im besten Sinne des Wortes heraus und ist buchstäblich eine touristische Perle an der Ostsee.

Heringsdorfer Strand is lovely as the sound of the constant waves soothe you. Long stretch of sandy beach which you can walk for miles to both sides of Heringsdorf if wished. Or you can stay put and rent a beach basket for the day to relax in. The elevated pier is also a great walk with nice views. We were there on a windy day and it was nice to feel the weather take a good hold on you as you walked out to the end.

You want a beach holiday at the Baltic Sea, but also green forests and lakes? Then Heringsdorf on the island of Usedom would be something for you. When we were on the way for you in the holiday resort Heringsdorf, we saw not only many families and couples at the sea and at the beach promenade, but also many nature friends on bicycles or in hiking boots met us. Between delicious herring, beach chairs and historic buildings you can make yourself comfortable with your loved ones or alone in a holiday apartment or on the camping site. You have to party somewhere else, but here you can relax completely and let yourself be spoiled by the beauty of nature.

Located on the popular holiday island of Usedom, the small village of Heringsdorf is a popular holiday destination for Germans. The tranquil coastal town offers its visitors an approx. 8 km long coastal strip, a green wooded environment and plenty of water. Not only the Baltic Sea in the northeast of the village lures with cool water: Southwest of the health resort there are also countless lakes, among them the big Schmollensee and the equally remarkable Gothensee. The lake district with its beautiful undisturbed surroundings attracts hiking fans, cyclists and connoisseurs of the whole island.Heringsdorf itself was built along the coast and has, next to the town centre, two districts: Bansin in the northwest and Ahlbeck in the southeast. The districts are connected by an extended expressway.

This incredibly well-used promenade (by walkers and bicycles but no cars) sits beautifully between the beach on the Baltic Sea and three beautiful towns on the German Island of Usedom. People stroll hand-in-hand or with their dogs and admire the opulent villas overlooking the water. Families and friends walk past the parks to stores, bars, and restaurants lining the Strand. Bicyclists zoom by on their bikes, and athletes exercise in the parks. There are sculptures to admire occasional musicians to watch and tip. This is a wonderful place and not to be missed experience.

A busy hub in the middle, buzzing with bikes and lots to see and do. A stroll along the pier is relaxing, the 'cinema in the sea' is fun to see - genuinely a screen in the sea with audience in deckchairs with headphones on the beach. Away from the centre the beach is big enough for everyone to find their own space and piece of tranquillity - a great place to bring the family.
